a memory your agents can work from.

on your device, owned by you.

solstone is a personal memory platform. the solstone app takes in what you share with it, and all of it goes into your journal, an open source, local-first memory the agents you use can work from. your journal is always private, only yours.

every agent you run inherits nothing. every session starts cold. your journal changes that: your projects, the people, what you decided last time, context your agents can work from. none of it leaves your control. and it's just files: dated folders of plain markdown and json you can read, grep, and back up yourself. no proprietary format, no database lock-in.

solstone is the platform, and the app you install. the journal is the memory it keeps.

open source and yours. your journal always lives on a device you own. sol pbc never sells your data, and any future acquisition is conditional on the successor being legally bound to preserve the same protections. these aren't promises: they're covenants in the articles of incorporation that can't be amended without the founder's personal signature, and after him, the language can only get stronger, never weaker.

early days. solstone is open source and hands-on, so expect time in the terminal and a few rough edges as we build.
